Subject	How long should a turbo last?

Message	I have a 92TT with the original turbo installed. It has 84,000 miles on it. It runs great. My question is how long does a turbo last in a Z under normal driving conditions? I change the oil every 3,000 miles. Also are there any warning signs that I should look for that will indicate that the turbo is about to die soon? Note that I'm not having problems with my turbo, I'm just into preventative maintenance :-)
